Live Healthy Iowa Teaches
Kids Track & Field
Live Healthy Iowa is introducing kids to track and field events May 18 from 9 am to 12 pm with Kids Track championship. The event will take place at Marion Field, 101 3rd Avenue in Marion.
Kids Track Championships is a free event for kids ages 7 - 14. This is a grassroots track event and no track experience needed.
Field events include a Standing Long Jump and Softball Throw. This is a great way to introduce your child to track and field!
Approximately 38 communities will host a local meet and the winners of each event at each location will advance to the Live Healthy Iowa State Track Championship Meet in Marshalltown Saturday, June 22.
Although this is a free event, all participants must register. Registration opens February 25 and closes May 3..

Hiawatha Summer Reading Program Begins June 3
The summer reading program in Hiawatha this year isn't just about seeing how many books you can read or what kind of prizes you can win; it's about having fun, while learning about our universe.
This year's reading program theme, a Universe of Stories teaches kids about the wonders fo the stars and planets through interactive play, crafts, demonstrations, movies, and of course, books.
