Fun Halloween Party Food Ideas

1 cup Chocolate chips
1/4 cup Peanut butter creamy
5 cups Chex cereal
2 cups Powdered Sugar
1 cup M & M's
4 oz chocolate or candy corn pieces (optional)
6 ounces Caramel Corn and/or Cheese Popcorn (optional)
In a small microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between each, until it is smooth. In a large bowl add the rice cereal. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over it, gently stirring until everything is well coated.
Place powdered sugar in bag with chocolate coated cereal and shake until well coated. In a large bowl, combine the coated rice cereal, candy corn, peanut butter candy, M & M's, popcorn, or anything else you want. Toss together. Scoop into individual baggies for tricksters!
1 tube of crescent rolls
10 hot dogs
Mustard for eyes
Unroll dough and piece together two triangles to make a rectangle. Slice into strips. Roll each strip onto a hot dog until it resembles a mummy. Place wrapped hot dogs on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 13 to 17 minutes, or until brown. Add a few drops of mustard onto the hot dog for eyes. Serve immediately.
Halloween Pudding Cups
You will need:
6 short, clear plastic cups
2 packages instant vanilla pudding
orange (red and yellow mixed) or green food coloring
6 Kit Kats or Twix sticks
Draw faces on the cups (pumpkins or Frankensteins). Prepare pudding per directions on the box. Divide into two and add drops of orange or green food coloring (pumpkins or Frankensteins). Add the pudding (2/3 full) to the cups. Chill. Just before serving, insert a candy "stem." Makes 6 cups.
Monster Ball Buddies
You will need:
3 cups Rice Krispies
3 cups miniature marshmallows
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
M & M's for eyes
6-12 plastic fangs
Prepare Rice Krispie treats and shape into balls. (How many you end up with will depend on the size. Make an indentation in the ball big enough for the fangs to fit snugly. Insert the fangs and the eyes and let the balls cool. Add a fun sign as a display or place in plastic bags to give as treats.
Pumpkin Pie Fillo Bites
Like little pumpkin-pecan pies!
For the filling, place 1 egg, 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin pie filling and 1/4 cup heavy cream in a bowl and mix well. Spoon the filling into 30 fillo shells and bake for 30 minutes at 350°F. Garnish with chopped pecans, if desired.
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
2 cups pumpkin seeds
2 tablespoons melted butter
Spice Mixes (select one)
Classic Salted: 1 tablespoon kosher salt
Spicy: 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Parmesan: 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon garlic salt
Pumpkin Pie: 6 teaspoons honey, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ½ teaspoon nutmeg, ⅛ teaspoon cloves
Wash, rinse and dry pumpkin seeds.
In a bowl, toss pumpkin seeds with 2 tablespoons butter to coat.
Add spice mix and toss to coat.
Spread pumpkin seeds flat on a baking sheet
Roast in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Stir and roast 10 more minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and serve.
