The Metro Library Network libraries participated in Food for Fines in November. Patrons could pay fines by donating food for HACAP. (One food item equaled $1 of fines.) A report submitted by HACAP and shared by Hiawatha Library director, Jeaneal Weeks, shows the number of meals that will be provided in the community as a result.
Hiawatha Library: 2,176 lbs. of food which equals to 1,813.33 meals
